What the app weighs
Barometric pressure
Absolute value plus the 3 and 24 hour trend. Slowly falling pressure ahead of a front is the classic good condition.
Water temperature
A separate optimum window per species. Estimated from the damped air temperature history of the past two weeks.
Light & time of day
Computed from the real solar position. Zander hunt at dusk, perch in daylight.
Wind & cloud
A light chop gives predators cover, flat calm makes them spooky. Wind direction helps you pick the shore.
Moon & solunar
Major and minor periods from the real lunar position — deliberately weighted low, since the effect is disputed.
Lure & colour
Matched to temperature, clarity and light: type, size, colour, retrieve and spot.

Put it on your phone
- Open the app — the button above takes you straight in, no installation needed.
- iPhone: tap the share icon, then “Add to Home Screen”.
Android: tap the ⋮ menu, then “Install app”. - Done. It sits as an icon on your home screen and opens full screen — no browser bar.
Once loaded it works without signal: the last forecast covers seven days, and the water list and rules live on the device anyway.
What it is not
- The water temperature is estimated, not measured. A shallow forest lake warms faster, a deep one slower. If you measure at the water, your figure is the better one.
- The model is built on rules of thumb, not validated research. It replaces no feel for your own water.
- Water data, prices and rules are copied from the association, not live. The rule PDFs date from 2012. Confirm before your trip.
- Permits, minimum sizes and closed seasons apply regardless of what the app shows.
